That Painful Sciatica You Can’t Get Rid Of​

Sciatica can be very painful. It originates in the lower back and you feel there’s a radiating pain going down to your hips, buttocks and down the leg posteriorly. It typically affects unilaterally however it can occur bilaterally. Sciatica occurs for many reasons however the most common is usually through bulged or herniated disc that causes impingement on the nerve. Most people suffer from sciatic pain between the ages of 30 to 60.

Chiropractic Care for Sciatica

Chiropractic adjustment reduces muscle spasms, nerve irritation and inflammation to the specified area. Most people have great results with adjustments coupled with spinal traction table to relieve tension caused by the bulged disc. In your initial exam, chiropractor will perform orthopedic and neurological testing to properly diagnose your pain. You’ll be asked series of questions to make sure the chiropractor have enough information before the adjustment.

Our adjustment is very minimal, meaning it is a high velocity, low amplitude technique. It is rare you will feel pain and most people feel a relief after. Chiropractic adjustments will help improve spinal function and alleviate the stress on your system.

If additional imaging is necessary such as X-ray or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), the chiropractor will refer you out.
